Welcome to the Bourne Community College web-site and to our unique secondary school, located on the south coast of England between the historical city of Chichester and the surrounding villages of West Sussex and Hampshire.
As Head, I am delighted to be leading the school into an exciting future, with an inspirational team of staff and a dedicated Governing body.
We have the distinct advantage, as a successful school, of offering only 180 student places in each year group. This leads to a strong sense of community and allows us to cater for each of our students as individuals.
We look forward to getting to know your children and most importantly working closely with you as parents and carers, to enable our students to make the best of the many and varied opportunities that the school offers.
We have recently added a new STEM hub and an Astro turf pitch to our facilities, which students of all years are already enjoying to enhance their learning.
We gained GOLD status as a Rights Respecting School and are very proud of this achievement; the golden thread throughout the school is based on our RRSA Bourne Identity Charter.
Our aim is to fully prepare our students for life beyond school and to ensure their success, during this crucial stage of their learning journey. We work hard to ensure they all make outstanding progress, academically and personally, to build on their self-confidence and self-belief and to develop their gifts and talents to the full. We want them to leave us in five years time, as responsible, happy young citizens, equipped and confident to thrive and contribute to the world beyond the Bourne Community College.
We are very proud of the strong international partnerships which have been developed over the last ten years. They enrich our students in so many ways and give them a real insight into the lives of other young people and cultures around the world and enable them to communicate in a variety of different ways.
At the Bourne, we are very proud of our students and their successes and welcome visits, so you can really see for yourselves what a unique school we are. Please visit our website and or contact us for more information.
