Places have become available on the Governing Body for 4 parent governors. The Governors would like to invite any interested parent/ guardian of a child in this school to nominate themselves as a candidate for election.
On Friday 2nd October your child will be bringing home an explanatory letter from the Headteacher, and a nomination form. If you are interested in becoming a parent governor the completed form should be returned to the Headteacher, before 9.00am on Friday 9th October . If the Headteacher receives more than four nominations an election will take place. In that instance ballot papers will be sent out on Monday 12th October, to be returned to a collecting point in the main entrance of the school by Monday 19th October. The count will take place at 1.45pm on 19th October and parents will be notified of the result. All parents/guardians are entitled to vote so if for any reason you do not receive nomination or ballot papers please contact the school.
If you would like to find out more about the role of a school governor a booklet is available from the Headteacher’s P.A, Fiona Menzies.
