Bourne Community College Library is used by all students, teachers and staff and aims to support students with their studies, teachers with their lessons and provide stimulating and exciting reading materials for everyone. It is an important focus and support for learning and a haven of calm where students can chill out, read and relax as well as do their homework, draw, play chess and scrabble and much more.
The library is run by Mrs Farley with support from her student librarians.
Monday – Thursday 8am – 3.45pm
Friday 8am – 3.30pm
Borrowing Books and Audio CDs and DVDs
Students and staff can borrow up to four items for a period of two weeks, except for DVDs which are loaned for a period of one week. Books and CDs can be renewed for a further two weeks at any time.
Students do not require a Library card and can browse the books before school, at breaks and lunches and during their Library lessons (Year 7 – Year 9)
This is open to all year groups and runs on Tuesday and Thursday from 2.45pm – 3.45pm.
Students should collect a permission slip from the Library and return this prior to attending.
