Letter

Bourne in top 5% of
schools nationally - official
The
English School Achievement and Attainment tables published by the
government in January 2009 placed Bourne Community College in the
top 5% of schools in England for ‘adding value’ over Key
stage 3 and 4.
The
score, based above and below 1000, compares pupil’s exam results
with those of similar pupils nationally who had similar prior
attainment (Key Stage 2 results). The top 5% had scores above
1030.3, with the Bourne score being 1041.1.
Schools
minister Jim Knight MP congratulated Bourne on its achievement in a
letter sent to headteacher Mrs Eva (follow the link to read the
letter). We are very proud of this achievement having received a
similar accolade from Jim Knight in January 2007 for our added
value.
