Bourne’s Year 10 Careers Week – 3rd – 7th July

The aim of the week was to provide a focus on Careers activities and guidance, as well as giving students an opportunity to learn essential skills for the future, and to support them in taking their next step in education or the world of work.

The week encouraged education providers and local employers to engage with our students through a variety of careers/futures based events.

The week culminated in a Careers Fair which was held in the Bourne Leisure Centre. Up to 35 businesses were present, including the Armed Forces, to inspire and motivate students to think about their future career or educational pathway.

All year groups attended and it was a joy to hear the insightful questioning taking place and positive interaction between the students and employers.

We would also like to thank our local businesses, partners and colleges who generously gave up their time to support such a  successful event.
