Bourne Community College is a Specialist Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) and English School which achieved “Outstanding” in every area of the Ofsted Inspection in November 2006. It is a mixed 11-16 school situated on the western edge of Chichester, West Sussex. It serves not only the surrounding villages but also attracts students from south east Hampshire. It is an inclusive comprehensive school and has a wide mix of students with a full range of abilities.

The college prides itself on establishing an ethos in which the academic and pastoral care of students is paramount. This is a friendly, caring and happy school where students are encouraged to enjoy all aspects of their work and to develop confidence in their abilities in an atmosphere of trust, co-operation and respect for others. Students are likely to be happiest and most successful when their parents and teachers are working together. Positive links between home and school contribute to the disciplined and purposeful nature of the Bourne.
